Mike,That probably depends on how the soil has been treated. If you are
planting into a field that's been under cultivation for a number of years the
mycorhizal fungi may well have been wiped out and adding them may help. But
you would just inoculate the vines' roots, not the whole field. If you are
planting into sod (not a good idea, but it's what we do) the mycos are
probably already there. Muffy Barrett

Do any of you have a scion stick of this persimmon(F-100) to trade or sell?
It is a fruiting male.

Hmm. I don't quite get the picture. Wouldn't first year growth be at
the end of second year growth? So if I remove all second year growth,
haven't I also removed all first year growth?
