I have nothing but good things to say about North Star cherry. I grew it in
Hudson Valley (zone 6) and now in Colorado (zone 5). Very reliable, fully
dwarfed, and wonderful pies. The juice is red rather than the Montmorency's
white juice, so I need to be careful where I pit the cherries. I'm not sure
how well the stains rinse off. The pies are full-flavored and intensely
full-colored. I wouldn't be without it.
