Lee Reich describes 55 gooseberry cultivars in "Uncommon Fruits Worthy of Attention" (Addison-Wesley, 1991).
Lucille Whitman (Whitman Farms) seems to think that her new cultivar Jeanne is tops of those she grows, at least in Oregon.
