I am growing seedlings of the Sorbus domestica in the arboretum in Seattle. No fruit yet from the seedlings, about 4 feet tall. The mother tree had fruit with a nice pear essence plus hints of rose. Definitely not for eating fresh. Too much tannin. Would be a good component in cider or fruit wine.
