Hey mIEKAL,
Everything I've read states zone 6 for the sorbus domestica but I have given sorbus latifolia a shot. It hasn't fruited yet but I've moved in the last few months but it will have a better spot. So far it has had no problems with our last couple winters, although they may not be a good judge of hardiness. Hopefully, it makes it to the fruiting stage. I do have a young Shipova as well and am curious to see its fruit as well.

Appears to be a Zone 6 tree, too far out of my range for me to give it
a try. Also interesting because it appears to be used as a component
in a "cider-like" drink. I do have a shipova planted but haven't
ripened any fruit yet.
