Hector, were you able you get then to grow in the southeast? I tried once, but I dont think it like the heat.

In my limited experience, it takes 3 years or so till
bloom, depeding. Ooops, from seeds, maybe a year or two longer. The
flowers are very easy to miss. Tiny stamens are all you see on the male,
and the female is equally conspicuous unless fertilized. They bloom fairly
early in spring, April in zone 6. Hector Black zone 6 middle
tn.
