In my limited experience, it takes 3 years or so till bloom, depeding.  Ooops, from seeds, maybe a year or two longer.  The flowers are very easy to miss.  Tiny stamens are all you see on the male, and the female is equally conspicuous unless fertilized.  They bloom fairly early in spring, April in zone 6.   Hector Black zone 6 middle tn.

I have just planted some sea buckthorn seeds.  I'm wondering how long they'll take to bloom?  Also can someone point me to a website that shows the difference in the male and female flowers.

Many thanks.

Charles
