somewhere i've got a delicious cornbread recipe that includes a fair amount of honey locust pods. they are ground up whole and then toasted a bit. the right amount of honey locust creates a deep, aromatic, mesquite-like sweetness. careful though: too much will make the bread unpleasantly astringent. also, a judicious addition of e.g. cayenne is quite harmonious for those who like a little spice. enjoy- tk
