Poncirus trifoliata (hardy orange; trifoliate orange) - it is definitely a noxious weed in the south eastern US.  I've heard of it being invasive in TN (zone 6b location) and that it is, to some extent, naturalized in locations in eastern and central PA.  In VA and MD there is some discussion as to whether it can qualify as invasive.

Do you think that planting hundreds of these as a deer hedge in an area of New Jersey (sandy, clay, 6b/7a) where there is a lot of undeveloped thinly canopied land will lead to its undesired local introduction?

Thanks,
Steve
New Jersey, USDA zone 6b/7a
