I think American persimmon could work in raingardens since the lower part of Jim Claypool's Orchard floods shallow , but regularly and that end the persimmons did well. Camas also does well with some flooding. It is native to low wet spots with winter and spring seasonal flooding. You might also look at the book Perennial Vegetables. You may want to try a different species of service berry than A. alnifolia since that is native to drier areas.
