Hello,

I had a medlar growing in my yard in Green Bay WI for about five years. Green
Bay is on the zone 4/5 line in northeast Wisconsin. I cannot recall the
variety of medlar but it actually did quite well. I don't believe that I
ever noticed any disease issues with it. We enjoyed the flowers and the
bletted fruit but with our small yard we decided to take it out. It was a
nice little tree and did quite well with our winters.
