I haven't seen anyone mention Roxbury Russet, which is sometimes confused with Golden Russet. RR is larger, more acid, and with a green undercoat. GR is more golden and so sweet it has sticky juice.

I was just wondering which nurseries the GOOD Golden russets came from compared to the O.K. Golden Russets. I thought GR was a late Oct. apple.Skip S. zone 5.
