Richard Fahey sells stratified 'Siberian' peach pits, but it's too late to get them this year.  I imagine that he's planted any that were un-ordered.  I ordered some; a few of them were already sprouting when they came but I stuck them in the fridge anyway until 2 weeks ago, when I was ready to plant.  Three rotted there (I think that they weren't ready to go back to dormancy), and the jury is still out on the others.   I thought that I saw a bit of green in one pot today.
This winter the minimum temp that my thermometer recorded was -27 F.  Amazingly, the flower buds on my Reliance peach are swelling and look like they may open--if we don't have any hard frosts (and it's too early in the year to expect not to have any hard frosts).  Last year I wasn't able to record a low, but the flower buds all fell off when the tree resumed growth in the spring.

I looked up Siberian C on the web, only found comment on the rootstock no source to purchase. Do you know of a nursery that carries it, is it just the rootstock ?

Thank you, Anthony z4b
