- Subject: [NAFEX] deer fence options ( Anthony Curcio )
- Date: Mon, 13 Apr 2009 11:40:50 -0500
We tried cheap plastic netting, and it broke down over
the winter, getting lots of holes. We could try more expensive plastic netting,
but I'm thinking it will still break down faster than metal. We
now use a 4’ high 2x4 metal fence. Every 30’ we have a tall post
from which we run a string at the 7’ mark. We have not had any deer try
to jump the fence. As a side note last year we moved our posts into a radius on
the ends. This makes mowing much easier, no corners to back in to. Anthony
