Yes, Betsy, and thanks. The definition depends on which English you speak,
and perhaps what region. In Ireland, when I say cider, I mean fermented
juice; here, I mean unfiltered juice, which may be either sweet or hard
"cider." (if you're in Europe, move that last period past the quotation
mark...)

Fermented cider is "hard cider" in the US. There is freshly pressed
unfermented cider more commonly available here.

But it may just be all semantics see:
