I read the book "A Plague of Frogs" which was fascinating but very frustrating as they didn't seem to find anything to account for the missing legs and other deformities. Finally they figured out that it had to do with vitamin A and the thyroid, pretty basic stuff that humans have too, and the phermone disrupting chemicals that have been considered pretty safe. It turned out that in one of the safety studies, just one, a large number of missing legs occurred, but that was old out of date product that must have broken down, so it was ignored. Of course, in nature, chemicals get old and broken down... Donna
