Jerry,
Wave petunias genetically are huge eaters. Fertilize them
often. By that I mean, incorporate time-release fertilizer in the
soil and pour water-soluable fertilizer on plants once a week. They
will spread rapidly and cover your deck rail. You can use a synthetic duo
of Osmocote and the blue stuff or go organic with fish meal pellets and Earth
Juice, liquid kelp or fish meal emulsion in the water.
