Hello all:
Seems like I read that poke greens contain a carcinogen. Can anybody substantiate or refute?
We have a pretty good crop of them and I want to try them, but not if they have been linked to a significant increase in the risk of cancer.
On another note, we have a wild turkey nesting in the vineyard. Also, something has been browsing the top 8" of the nettle shoots. I suspect deer. They are either very, very hungry to risk the sting, or they have some way of neutralizing them. Always something new to observe and marvel over.
