- Subject: [NAFEX] plum pollination

I have the book: Fruit, Berry and Nut Inventory. Third Edition.
In the section on plums, the following varieties are listed (among many):
Methley - self-fruitful
Opal - self-fertile
Stanley - self-fertile
Sugar Prune - self-fruitful
Yellow Egg - self-pollinating
I know that all the 'self-fertiles' will produce more fruit if cross pollinated.
What is the difference between 'self-fertile', 'self-fruitful', and 'self-pollinating'?
