Had you asked Hartmann if the used to tissue culture American Persimmons, you might have gotten a different answer. I bought some of those zone 4 American Persimmons (I don't remember if they were tissue cultured or seedlings). Anyway, none that I bought survived, probably why Hartmann quit doing it.
