I'm lazy, but I've tried spraying a couple things over the years.
I sprayed once last spring (my asian persimmon was afflicted by psylla) and
I did a dormant spray on a couple things this winter (my mother-in-law has a
peach which gets curl and I had to mix up something for that anyway)
I've done milk sprays on my lilacs once for powdery mildew. (can't say it
did much, though) and I've tried insecticidal soap to wipe out spider mites
(don't think it worked either) on inrdoor overwintering passionflowers.
