The experiment station reports I read mentioned that they had to protect the
sweet-kernel apricots from squirrels.

Does this mean that squirrels won't bother other apricots? I was hoping to get fruit from my apricot for the first time this year (then again, it's supposed to get quite cold the next few nights, so maybe not), and I was wondering how I'd keep the squirrels out. I think I'm going to try an electric wire around the top of my backyard fence, now that I've covered it in chickenwire to keep the rabbits out, but the apricot is outside the fence.

Anyway, I just wondered. It would be nice if the squirrels didn't like apricots, but I suspect that's too much to hope for.
