The livestock eats the FALLEN fruit. People eat PICKED OFF THE TREE fruit.
Sounds reasonably safe to me..
I have livestock, goats, donkeys, beefalo and chickens. I always fertilize
with manure so I guess I am use to living life on the edge.

ranging turkeys or other livestock that are not grain-fed, would pose
little, if any, E. coli risk.
