Richard,
Through the years, I've seen either posts on the
NAFEX list or articles in POMONA touting the benefits
of running turkeys - particularly the 'old,
wild-type' - in orchards - for mouse/vole control, in
addition to your experience with them in helping
control plum curculio. Seems they're voracious
consumers of small rodents.
