- Subject: [NAFEX] apricots from seed
- Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2007 21:19:37 -0400
My largest apricot, which is either Sungold or Moongold, had a bumper crop last week. I ate as many as my stomach could tolerate; dried a few hundred, and made a rhubarb-apricot jam. The tree is from Fedco; it was visited by a welcome swarm of bees as it bloomed this spring. Fruit had surface blemishes, but was GOOD!
I've been told it is grafted; any reason to save and grow the seeds??
