Has anyone ever tasted a Purple Raspberry that was delicious?
I raise black raspberries and red raspberries that are in close proximity to each other. The bees mix the pollen and the birds plant the seed. Consequently, I get a couple purple raspberry seedlings most every year. I like to raise seedlings to maturity just to see what I get and every purple raspberry I've sampled tastes a little like stale wine.

Steve, I agree that Royalty is not good eaten fresh; in fact I find it
downright nasty. However, I think Royalty makes some of the best purple
raspberry jam and ice cream topping I've ever eaten. -- Sam Brungardt
