This is a followup for a previous e/m regarding the orginal Meader persimmon tree. One question was conserning other trees in his area.

In 1972 Prof. J. C. McDaniel wrote an article for Pomona titled, "Persimmon Breeding Notes."  In one sentence he wrote, "The very hardy American persimmon which Prof. E. M. Meader grows alone at Rochester, NH, is a seedling of 'Garretson` and most of it' s abundant fruits are seedless, but it did produce a few seeds there in 1970.
