I don't know for sure, but it's pretty reminiscent, to me, of the
only bamboo native to the US, Arundinaria gigantea, commonly known
around here as river cane, switch cane, etc. Very common along
creeks/streams here; rarely taller than 10 ft, and seldom larger than
1-1.5" at the base.
