In the link I sent, http://www.001shop.cz/Cerny-jerab ,Cerny jerab is listed as subspecies aronie (Cerny jerab - aronie) which may have confused some into thinking it it could be Aronia. John Barbowski's post clinched it.

Hi All,

My Czech partner says the phrase translates as follows:

"The common folk refer to it as black mountain ash, however this plant
(Sorbus malanocarpa)"


She says the berries are deep orange and can be used for preserves.
