Brunt Ridge Nursery advises that Lonicera variety Blue Velvet be planted with Blue Moon. Varieties Blue Belle and Blue Bird should be planted together.

Blue Velvet and Blue Belle's bloom periods did not always
overlap for good pollination.
They might make a good low shrub for forest gardens where consistent fruit
production is not the highest priority.
