Jim,
Do you know which cultivar(s) this was? Some selections may be much hardier
than others, as A. kolomikta occurs over a vast area in the wild, and the
origins are often poorly documented.

Actinidia kolomitka is recommended to zone 3. I suspect that it would
thrive in zone 2 because it bore its crop after an unusually cold winter
where the temperature dipped to -45º (-43º C).
