I'd think that black tree shelters would be good for pawpaws up in PA,
because pawpaws really do like it warm. But here in TN they would burn up
for sure. I usually recommend that locals plant seeds or seedlings in the
biggest weed patch they have. They will be shaded, and should eventually
grow up through the weeds. I guess it wouldn't hurt to weed and water, you
could make a path into the area. Donna
