Hello,

My question is... If you had an orchard upwind of a dirt road, that had a
component of Kayolin clay, and the orchard got dusted everytime a vehicle
passed, would you achieve a degree of "passive" insect protection?

I just can't believe that the dust would stick well enough to do any good. In my experience, it takes a pretty good coating to keep the critters off. Even if it did stick, the dust wouldn't settle far enough away from the road on a regular basis to do much good to all but the nearest trees.
