<x-tad-bigger>This spring I ordered and grew from seed a type of Petunia called a "mound" Petunia. It's doing great. Does anybody know if hybrid Petunias have seed true to kind, or do I have to re-order from the catalog again next spring? I've been growing "wave" petunias for a few years. I often get volunteers, and they are usually plants with some of the good traits of the parents. So no, the hybrid petunias don't grow true from seed, but the seeds seem to be viable, and produce nice plants. Just not quite as nice as their expensive parents.
