The plant is at about the same stage as the
rest of the seedlings with about the same number of leaves, etc., except
everything is larger.
Yes, I would say there is a good chance this is a triploid tree. Some
people are good at picking out characteristics like this, it can sure save a
lot of growing out. As for flavor, it might help to know what at least one
parent was. With triploids you can expect bigger fruit, often large
vigorous trees. There was a very good article on the net, you may be able
to find it as they talked about selecting for good traits from young
seedlings. Look for something like Apple improvement midwest. Or apple
breeding, midwest varieties. It would be nice if you'd post a link to it if
