Why not dig up suckers? My trees send them up everywhere and I have grafted
several. Root cuttings have worked also most of the time. I had good luck
getting persimmon rootstock from Womacks in DeLeon, TX. All 10 survived.
Persimmon chip buds, t-buds, bark grafts, whip grafts, anything I tried
worked.
