Good morning:

The recent flurry of verbage on various issues facing NAFEX is indeed interesting.  I strongly advise your continued interest in the viability of NAFEX as it has been the recipient of a trend which has been going on for some 15 years or so.  That trend would be called apathy, or many folks having great ideas and no one to do the necessary work to pursue these ideas.  Also NAFEX feel into a rut of "making money" in the stock market some years back which turned out to be just that....a wasted-time rut.

Anyways I strongly encourage you all to continue the dialogue and not to worry about so-called "controversy".  Most subjects can cause mixed responses and it really serves no purpose to get hostile over much of anything.  Just keep plugging away gracefully.

A couple of days ago I put a note on this site about the upcoming MAIA meeting on Nov. 13 at Dawes Arboretum in Newark, OH.
The lack of response surprises me a bit.  Reason.  Many of you have recently ranted on and on about the wonderment of "antique" varieties.  Well, show up at Dawes on the 13th and I'll show you some modern varieties which possess more flavor than any antique you've ever eaten.  Also Dawes is one of the best kept secrets in the eastern USA.  This place is a shear showcase of various collections of near every kind of plant you can imagine.

ed, south central Ohio and doin' okay
