I have no idea of autumn olive, but the leaves look like chokecherry to me -
I have tons of it in my yard, it gets black knot, and I consider it a pain in
the neck. The berries turn dark to black when ripe, birds love them, they
can be used for jam. There are many versions of chokecherry or wild black
cherry which have clusters of tiny white flowers that turn into berry
clusters.
