My question is would there be any point in trying to propagate this scionwood if the buds are dead?
Hi Mark,
Just this morning while checking my grafts from last year, two that were done with year old wood (collected 2002) had taken. Both are Geneva Long persimmon. But I'm sure the buds were still alive, I'd not tried it if the buds were dead and the wood shriveled. If you extra understock give it a try provided the cambium is still green, then let us know.
