I agree with Rich Moyer, Lee is a fine writer and uses a style of a professional writer. Re: the remark, my grandson was going through the planting and eating gooseberies and such, we came to a plant of red currants and he tasted some and remarked that they were sour, the next bush was a black currant either consort or one of the other Canadian immune cultivars, he spit it out at once and remarked, "Pop, I don't think you are supposed to eat these".
