Title: Re: [NAFEX] cultivar parentage
Probably the most useful book is The Register of New Fruit and Nut Varieties by Brooks and Olmo.  You can see the book at the ASHS site.  http://www.ashs.org

I've been trying to find (via yahoo-searches) info on the parentage or
pedigree or origin of some fruit cultivars.  (That is, "what was crossed
with what to get this cultivar?")
Can't find anything consistent and useful.  Would this be found in some of
the university or USDA breeding program websites ?   Does anyone have these
addresses handy for posting?   I've always had trouble getting these to
appear in 'net searches.  Thanks for any suggestions.
