Any chance anyone knows of plans for a home / shop made apple grinder? I have welders and a machine lathe - but need good plans - or at least ideas, thanks, Del
Hello,
Do not forget how well "low tech" crushing and pressing works, and the equipment can be made at
home with a plastic pail.
No water added, no heat added and the juice is great, albeit a little more work.
If you want to see the plans for a small homemade press, using simple materials see this web page;
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/scrumpy/cider/press1.htm
It claims to be a cider press, but you can press anything with it.
Later,
Tom
