A nursery up here puts all plums on Sandcherry, and swears by them. I seen his grafted, potted material produce fruit in it's 2nd year after fall budding. I was concerned about suckering from the rootstock, but he hasn't had that kind of problem. I have about 30 plums on this rootstock, so I'm interested to see the suckering/dwarfing effect in the future.
