Title: Re: [NAFEX] Wagon bed fowel insect control. A variation of that has been written up in Mother Earth News (back in the early days) as a "chicken tractor". The contraption consisted of a house with a small fenced area, all on skids. When the chickens had exhausted all the grass and such on one spot, the whole thing was pulled to a fresh location.

Hello all you fowled insect readers.
Some years back at either the NAFEX or NNGA annual meeting there was a report by an organic fruit grower in PA ( as I recall) that had build a small chicken house on a farm wagon bed. I can't remember the details but he also provided additional feed and nest boxes for egg laying. At night he closed it up to protect them while roosting. He simply pulled the wagon around where he wanted insect control.
