Turkeys, wild and otherwise, most assuredly do eat apples, although in my
experience, they do little damage to hanging fruit, preferring to clean up
soft windfalls.

Ben, We have turkeys pecking apples from the ground. We have ground hogs,
crows, deer, rabbits, and squirrels eating apples. However of all the
above
pests, the turkeys cause the least monetary damage.
