What does the label say? It should name the certifier, so you can contact the certifier and check. The certifier may however be certifying bananas in several countries.

Easier, ask the store. If the first person you ask has no idea (which is quite likely), ask to talk to the produce manager. The original ship boxesand/or invoices ought to let them know. If they are actually organically grown, current law requires a paper trail in existence that can trace them back to the specific field they were grown in, so you certainly ought to be able to at least find out the country of origin. If the produce manager has no idea where they came from and is unable to find out, the store is in violation of the law.
