My wife gets upset with me but I bring home bags of leaves from town and
store them in the bags until spring. Then I use them to mulch my tomatoes
so I don't have to weed them more than once. Also it helps with the
persistent late summer droughts we have had the last several summers.
Picking the last of the Golden Russets, Ashmead Kernals, Paragons, and
Melrose apples. They have really been good once we got over the early
September drop from the drought. Judson L. Frisk zone 5 SW Iowa
