Anyone have better luck with this apple? I got the scionwood from Richard Fahey, fruited it this year, the two apples, eaten one too late with very poor texture and the other about right. Both were devoid of flavor or aroma of any kind, I was amazed that an apple could be that flavorless. It didn't seem to contain any acidity at all which I expected but it seemed very low in sugar also. Nor was it very crisp and very little juice. It only got about six hours of sun though, I wonder if that might have affected its flavor. A shame as it is a large beautiful apple, ribbed like a pumpkin, greenish skin.
