I didn't say it too well the first time, but people use the same names to
describe different trees.

For black locust, it lists:
Common name: yellow locust, white locust, common locust, honey locust
I bet if I looked up honey locust it would show me black locust as a common
name.
I usually qualify them as black locust, the one that's good for fenceposts
(Robinia pseudoacacia), and honey locust, the one that spreads bad and has
nasty thorns (Gleditsia triacanthos). I decided to finally lookup the
scientific names, otherwise, I'm going to ......
This is worse than dialects, like pronunciation of creek/crick or pop/soda or
water fountain/bubbler..... ;-)
