- Subject: [NAFEX] verticillium wilt in trees
- Date: Tue, 1 Jul 2003 10:14:52 -0700 (PDT)
Well verticillium wilt is sweeping through my area...fluffy already has lost
2 Norway Maples and a sugar maple...and I am beginning to think my Lapins
cherry may be susceptible. Well...I guess it is only a matter of time until
it works it way to the strawberries and raspberries the plums and the peaches
:(
Be that as it may I have been searching around trying to find a list of shade
trees preferably moderate to fast growing (or even a fruit tree that would
offer shade) that is resistant to verticillium wilt.
Does anyone have any suggestions. My house, ranch-style, need shade.
Thanking you in advance for any consideration you give this matter.
